Middle Tennessee Transgender Alliance
The Middle Tennessee Transgender Alliance (formerly Tennessee Vals or TVals) is a non-political, educational, social, and support organization founded and intended to educate and support people about transgender issues without prejudice, regardless of sexual orientation, sexual identity, or gender identity.
MTTA helps educate and support those dealing with personal issues and concerns related to gender identity, including its impact on sexual orientation. We exist primarily to support transgender adults, but family, friends, and allies are welcome and encouraged to join as well. We do not serve the needs of transgender children or teens at this time.
Based in Nashville, MTTA also serves the interests of the transgender community in Middle Tennessee from the Kentucky to Alabama border through efforts to educate the public and promote a positive public image about transgender people.
Everyone on the transgender spectrum is welcome, from full-time or “when you can” transgender women and men to genderfluid, nonbinary and gender-questioning folks.

Day / Time Never Changes
Join us in Nashville for a peer-led support meeting. Meetings are a group conversation on varying topics, presentations from outside sources, and more. We exist primarily to support transgender individuals, but family, friends, and allies are welcome and encouraged to attend as well. The meeting includes a potluck-style meal, but bringing a dish is not required to attend.
PLEASE NOTE OUR MEETINGS ARE ONLY OPEN TO ADULTS 18 AND UP.

MONTHLY DINNER NIGHT OUT
3rd Saturday Every Month
7:00-9:00pm
We organize a monthly social event to gather and enjoy dinner, drinks, or both. Membership dues do not apply—you only pay for your own meal. Join us in relaxing and enjoying a nice evening out among friends. It’s always the 3rd Saturday of the month at the same time, though restaurant locations can vary.
We will post/announce restaurant locations here and on social media at least one month ahead of time.

UPCOMING SPECIAL EVENTS
Our goal is to support and engage with our local LGBTQIA community and allies. Look for us in the community hosting co-op events with other organizations and setting up tables at community Pride events, Transgender Day of Remembrance events, the Nashville Flea Market, and more.
